Process Engineer – Up to £55,000
Crewkerne | Mon–Thurs 07:30–16:00 | Fri 08:00–13:00 | Permanent | Onsite
A global manufacturing leader is seeking a Process Engineer for its cutting-edge hydraulic valve division in Crewkerne. This is a key role focused on optimising production, enforcing lean and safety standards, and delivering continuous improvement across machining operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Improve manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
Lead lean and continuous improvement initiatives, including waste reduction and process standardisation.
Support NPI and localisation projects, ensuring smooth transfer from design to production.
Maintain compliance with EHS and ISO standards, assist with audits, and promote strong 5S practices.
Provide hands-on, data-driven process engineering support using analytical tools.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
5+ years’ experience in process or industrial engineering.
Strong lean/CI background (e.g., Six Sigma).
Manufacturing experience; hydraulic systems knowledge advantageous.
Excellent data analysis and Excel skills.
Proactive, detail-focused approach.
