Expire in: a month
We are currently seeking senior level process engineers to support our client working in the process industry / chemical sector.
These will be to work on a contract basis – initially 6 months duration with the possibility for further extensions subject to workload. These roles fall outside of IR35 and so Limited Company contractors / self employed can operate. Rates are expected to be around £45-£50 per hour subject to level of experience and suitability with some potential negotiability.
The main requirements are for an office located in Warrington, however some roles are expected to be needed for an office based in Teesside – albeit with less senior responsibilities. Some hybrid working may be possible but candidates should expect to be office based for at least 3 days per week to help support other team members, and these days may increase subject to customer requirements/necessary site visits.
Due to the wide range and scope of requirements available our client is flexible on candidates from different industrial sectors and skill sets. Instead they would like accomplished process engineers with at least 5 years industrial work experience in design – with senior level experience and the ability to lead projects, and liaise with clients. They should be able to work on process sites when required and be able to work both independently when required and within a close knit team.
They are looking at Process Engineer generalists rather than a specific industry for the type of projects they work on. Typically this would be a chemical engineering /process engineering background with associated degree level education or equivalent. They should be experienced in process design and optimisation to transform raw materials into finished products - ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. As a rule they should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in relevant software are essential
Previous experience as a process engineer on P&ID’s, PFDs, using Hysys, would all be helpful – but not essential - and candidates can come from a range of backgrounds including manufacturing, chemical processing, pharmaceutical, food, and energy, where efficient and reliable processes are essential.
