The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Process Engineer to apply their skills and academic learning to support a leading nuclear energy business on a permanent basis. As a Process Engineer, you will contribute to ongoing and new complex engineering projects. With a successful and experienced team around you, you’ll benefit from a wide range of skills and expertise.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Production of design deliverables (e.g. drawings, reports or calculations) to agreed standards of safety, cost, quality and time.
Where appropriate, may be required to train and develop others.
Involvement in improvement initiatives and projects.
Comply with all legislative, regulatory and company policy standards and processes applicable to the role.
Work within UK nuclear regulations and internal standards to ensure all designs meet legislative and safety requirements.
Work closely with mechanical, electrical, safety, and project engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
Liaise confidently with clients, regulators, and project partners to understand requirements and communicate technical solutions.
Assist in planning, estimating, and delivering engineering work packages, ensuring alignment with project goals.
You will have the following qualifications & experience:
BEng (Hons) or MEng (Hons) in Chemical engineering
Proven relevant experience as a Process Engineer on Nuclear site or a highly regulated site.
Be able to confidently liaise with external stakeholders and team members, both oral and written.
Ability to independently seek out or develop one’s own answer to challenging technical questions.
Capable of analysing situations and challenge the conditions, activities or solutions to support continuous improvement and develop areas of best practice.
