Salary: £42,000 - £47,000 Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire Working Pattern: Monday to Friday Benefits: Excellent benefits package | Career development | Training and progression | Innovation-led manufacturing environment Are you an experienced engineer with a strong background in manufacturing, quality and continuous improvement? This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative manufacturing business, where you'll lead technical projects and optimise processes to deliver measurable results across quality, efficiency, cost, throughput and yield. The Role Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, you'll work closely with manufacturing, quality and development teams to identify opportunities and deliver sustainable results. As an engineer, you'll provide technical expertise across the site and support targeted improvement initiatives. You'll be responsible for: Leading process improvement projects focused on efficiency, quality, cost, throughput and yield. Providing technical support and advice to manufacturing teams as plant performance and customer requirements change. Using structured problem-solving techniques to identify root causes and improve process performance. Analysing quality and manufacturing data to identify trends, compliance gaps and improvement opportunities. Leading complex troubleshooting activities and supporting the development and training of manufacturing teams. Supporting the introduction of new products, processes and equipment into manufacturing operations. Driving quality control, including reducing customer complaints, non-conformances and audit findings. Providing technical input into customer complaint investigations and non-conformance management. Leading plant trials and experimental programmes in line with Management of Change requirements. Acting as the manufacturing link for new product development programmes. About You You'll be a technically strong engineer who enjoys solving problems and turning data into practical improvements. You'll be confident working across multiple functions and influencing teams at different levels. The successful candidate will take ownership of each improvement opportunity and ensure solutions deliver lasting value. You'll ideally have: A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Materials Science or another relevant technical discipline. Significant experience delivering process improvements within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Practical experience with Lean, Six Sigma or similar methodologies; Green Belt would be advantageous. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to make informed decisions. Experience working within a formal Quality Management System. Knowledge of FMEA, control plans, regulatory compliance and product testing. Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and operational teams. An engineer with a proven track record of delivering sustainable improvements, quality gains and cost savings through technical projects. Why Join?
