Process/Process Safety Engineer - upper tier COMAH - Manchester - £55-65k + bonus and generous pension
We’re working with a leading chemicals manufacturer to recruit a Process/Process Safety Engineer for their Top Tier COMAH site in Manchester.
This role is a 50/50 split between Process Engineering and Process Safety - ideal for:
👉 Process Engineers wanting more exposure to Process Safety, or
👉 Process Safety Engineers keen to broaden their skillset in Process Engineering

What you’ll do:
- Develop and maintain the safety management system (COMAH, REACH, ISO)
- Lead HAZOP studies and liaise with Regulators
- Commission and support new or modified plant operations
- Troubleshoot issues, driving improvements in safety, efficiency & sustainability
- Play an active role in COMAH interventions
What you’ll need:
- Degree in Chemical/Process Engineering
- 3+ years experience in high-hazard chemical, petrochemical or heavy industrial environments
- Strong communication skills and an eagerness to get involved in all areas!
