Description
As the Process Safety Engineer you will be tasked with the following;
Develop and implement process safety management systems in line with regulatory requirements.
Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify and mitigate potential safety issues.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure safety is integrated into process designs.
Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including safety cases and risk registers.
Lead incident investigations and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Provide training and guidance on process safety standards to colleagues and stakeholders.
Monitor compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Engage with external bodies to stay updated on best practices and regulatory changes.
Profile
A successful Process Safety Engineer should have:
A degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of process safety management principles and techniques.
Experience in the industrial/manufacturing sector, particularly in safety and compliance roles.
Familiarity with relevant legislation, such as COMAH and DSEAR regulations.
Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and hazard analyses.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.Job Offer
£70,000 Salary.
