Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Process Technician to join a leading manufacturing business operating within a manufacturing industry. This role is offered on a Panama shift pattern (6am–6pm / 6pm–6am, rotating days and nights). Key Responsibilities of a Process Technician Work collaboratively with the Process Manager and Shift Leader to maintain smooth production flow. Quickly identify, fault-find, and resolve process, tooling, and machine issues with a solutions-focused approach. Ensure minimal downtime by implementing effective problem-solving methods and escalating when required. Support and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives. Take a hands-on role in the production environment while providing shift management support when necessary. Lead by example in upholding Standards (SOPs, Health & Safety, Quality). Participate in production meetings, shift handovers, and ensure all process personnel remain engaged with production requirements. Carry out tool fitting/removal, colour changes, purging processes, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Support trials and projects, documenting results clearly and effectively. Drive initiatives to reduce scrap, waste, and unplanned stoppages through efficient methods of working. Promote high standards of cleanliness and compliance with audit requirements. Maintain flexibility in working approach to ensure production continuity. Qualifications & Experience of a Process Technician Good standard of education with strong numeracy skills. Engineering qualification desirable; Polymer Injection Moulding Level I (working towards Level II) preferred. Proven background in a manufacturing/production environment as a Process Setter or Process Technician. Specialised knowledge in polymer injection moulding. Basic PC literacy (Word, Excel, SAP, Barco or other production systems advantageous). Personal Attributes of a Process Technician Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Flexible and adaptable approach to working hours. Strong sense of urgency with commitment to production goals.
