We are looking for a Procurement Acquisition Integration Lead with excellent experience leading procurement and acquisition teams, whilst creating seamless integrations and synergy between the business and supplier.
You will be responsible for leading activities and taking a strategic approach to procurement while ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with the relevant regulations.
What you’ll be doing as a Procurement Acquisition Integration Lead:
Engaging with team members and stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations by hosting meetings, gathering feedback, and documenting requirements.
Developing a comprehensive project plan that outlines the strategy, timelines, and budget aligned with overall project timelines. Including governance and reporting structures that include risk assessments and mitigation strategies with appropriate sign off.
Lead and motivate cross functional stakeholders to meet integration milestones and deliverables on schedule.
Issuing requests for proposals (RFPs) or invitations to bid (ITBs) to potential suppliers with clear requirements and ensuring suppliers understand the evaluation criteria. Whist creating stringent documentation and adherence to policies.
Reviewing the bids and proposals received and evaluating them based on the criteria outlined in the procurement plan such as cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
Negotiating the terms and conditions of the contract whilst ensuring that all aspects of the agreement are clearly defined, including payment terms, delivery schedules, and performance metrics.
Tracking the progress of activities against the plan and adjusting as necessary to stay on schedule and within budget.
Documenting any changes and reporting regularly to key stakeholders.
Overseeing the migration and integration of supplier and contract data into target systems and working closely with key stakeholders.
Formally closing procurement once the goods or services have been delivered and accepted including, completing any necessary paperwork, making final payments, and conducting a post-procurement review to identify lessons learned.
We’re looking for a Procurement Acquisition Integration Lead with:
Proven experience in procurement, supply chain and project management and understanding of the supplier lifecycle and multi workstream procurement projects.
Experience in managing complex projects including transformation.
Excellent negotiation skills with suppliers including technology.
Understanding of project governance, RAID management, milestone tracking and project reporting tools
Ability to drive accountability and maintain momentum across a varied stakeholder group.
Comfortable managing competing priorities and meeting evolving requirements
Clear concise communicator able to produce structured updates, dashboards and briefing material for Procurement Director and senior stakeholders.
Understanding of US Contract law would be an advantage.
Hours: 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am-5:30pm.
Location: Reading
Contract: 3 months initially with opportunity to extend.
