Procurement Data Processor (Energy from Waste)

Our client is one of the UK’s leading waste and resource management companies, with over 200 facilities and 4,200 employees across the UK.
A vacancy currently exists for a Procurement Data Processor. In this role, you will be responsible for the management of parts, materials and commodities at the company’s Energy from Waste facility. You will support procurement activities, maintain inventory data, manage purchase orders and supplier relationships, and help ensure stock availability while adhering to company policies, procedures and safety standards.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week.
Main Duties:
* Managing the Q4 stock inventory database and generating reports
* Monitoring stock levels and reviewing inventory parameters to minimise stock shortages
* Raising and managing requests for quotations for stock, consumables and tools
* Reviewing supplier quotations and making recommendations to stakeholders
* Raising, receiving and managing purchase orders in line with company procedures
* Progressing supplier orders to ensure timely delivery
* Maintaining inventory records within the MRP database
* Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies
* Supporting annual pricing agreements and wider procurement activities
* Providing support and guidance to internal stakeholders on stockholding and procurement best practices.
Candidate Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years' procurement experience within a recycling, manufacturing or engineering environment
* Experience of inputting and managing large volumes of data within an MRP system
* Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
* CIPS qualification desirable
* Experience using stock inventory management systems
* Knowledge of procurement best practice
* Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
* Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to prioritise workloads and respond positively to changing business requirements.
