Job Description

A leading global manufacturer of aerospace engineered components has appointed Vectis Recruitment to manage the appointment of a Procurement Director (EMEA). Joining at a time of significant investment and ambitious global growth plans, you will be responsible for developing and executing the procurement strategy ensuring sourcing aligns with business objectives and goals. Candidates are sought with proven experience in a Senior Procurement position gained within a complex engineering business (aerospace, automotive, energy, high technology, etc) The Role Lead and develop the procurement function to deliver strategic value and cost optimization. Define and implement sourcing strategies for key categories including raw materials, goods and services. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Negotiate complex contracts ensuring best value, quality, and compliance. Identify supply chain risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Lead the purchasing team and cultivate a culture of data-driven decision-making. Lead supplier selections and onboarding of new sources for indirect commodity spend and supplier consolidation. Maintain current knowledge of market conditions that affect overall cost, lead time, and availability of critical commodities. Work with senior management to negotiate favorable contracts and long-term agreements. Champion sustainability, innovation, and digital transformation in procurement practices. The Person Proven track record as a senior procurement leader gained within a complex and highly regulated industry (Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Energy, etc). Demonstrated success running multi-site purchasing (>£150 million spend). Proven Lean/Six-Sigma practitioner with quantifiable cost, cycle-time, or inventory wins and supplier relationship management. Expert knowledge of ERP/MRP systems. Excellent communication skills as well as proven negotiation, analytical and project management skills. Ability to drive global supply chain goals and performance metrics
