We are seeking a Procurement Manager to play a pivotal part in managing c£50million worth of spend across a range of indirect categories ( Hard FM , Soft FM, IT, Marketing) and some direct goods.
Reporting directly into the Head of Procurement and offering you scope to make a real difference! This would suit someone who can’t help but notice opportunities to leverage savings and mitigate risk- and with the enthusiasm and stakeholder engagement skills to bring those opportunities to fruition.
This is a high-impact role for a commercially astute procurement professional who is motivated by continuous improvement, stakeholder collaboration, and delivering measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
* Procurement Strategy & Execution: Lead the development and implementation of procurement strategies that align with organisational goals and deliver long-term value.
* Contract Management: Establish and maintain a robust contract management framework, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and optimising supplier performance.
* Supplier & Vendor Management: Build and nurture strong supplier relationships to ensure service excellence, innovation, and competitive pricing.
* Spend Optimisation: Identify opportunities to consolidate spend, streamline procurement processes, and drive cost efficiencies.
* Risk & Compliance: Proactively manage procurement risks and ensure all contracts and supplier engagements meet regulatory and internal standards.
* Performance Monitoring: Track procurement KPIs, analyse trends, and implement best practices to enhance operational effectiveness.
About You
* Proven experience in procurement and contract management, ideally within a fast-paced or evolving organisation.
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex supplier relationships and contracts.
* A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Highly organised, analytical, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
Location: 3 days a week in Northampton ( Easily accessed from M1)
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 + car allowance + bonus
