Procurement Category Manager [Software] will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies for all software-related spend within the organisation. This role requires a deep understanding of software procurement, vendor management, contract negotiation, and market trends within the financial services industry.

Description
Develop and implement procurement strategies for the technology category.
Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies across a complex businesses the financial services sector.
Manage the entire procurement lifecycle for software products and services, including sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier selection, and performance management.
Partner with IT and business units to understand software needs, usage patterns, and budgetary constraints.
Manage supplier relationships to ensure value and performance are optimised.
Lead contract negotiations and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
Analyse market trends to inform purchasing decisions and strategies.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement goals with business objectives.
Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or risks proactively.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Ensure all procurement activities adhere to relevant regulatory requirements.

Experience with TPRM and risk mitigation.
Strong knowledge of the Financial Services industry and its procurement needs.

Ability to analyse market data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
Familiarity with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
