Our client, a leading educational institution, is looking for a dynamic Procurement Officer to join their Finance Department! This is your chance to lead procurement activities while building strong relationships across the university.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Procurement Activities: Take charge of procurement for designated goods and services, ensuring compliance with university policies.
Build Relationships: Cultivate excellent working relationships with internal departments and external suppliers to facilitate effective delivery of projects.
Contract Management: Coordinate technical, legal, and financial input to ensure procurement processes meet all requirements.
Market Research: Research suppliers and monitor the market for suitable options, updating the Contracts Register as necessary.
Reporting: Prepare internal and external reports, providing data analysis and insights to support decision-making.What We're Looking For:
Experience: Public sector procurement experience is essential, particularly within higher education, a good understanding of the Public Contracts Regulations and New Procurement Act 23. Full Procurement Life Cycle and Contract Management.
Qualifications: A-level standard education or equivalent, with a preference for graduates in business-related fields. CIPS qualification is a plus.
Skills: Excellent communication, analytical, and computer skills (MS Office proficient).
