Are you a Procurement Officer with a passion for driving change and a talent for managing complex contracts? A unique SME in Bedford, are a leading name in aerodynamic research, working with major international aerospace and defense clients like Bombardier, Boeing, and Airbus. Working at the forefront of engineering, using our impressive on-site transonic wind tunnel to create highly accurate models of military and civilian aircraft.
What You'll Do
This isn't just a standard procurement job. As a key part of our business transformation, you'll be central to shaping our supplier relationships. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will:
Drive our bid programs by working with project managers to create and execute competitive tenders.
Develop and implement supplier selection strategies, ensuring transparency and fairness at every step.
Proactively manage supplier contracts, ensuring delivery and handling any necessary changes.
Ensure full compliance with our governance requirements, bringing integrity and diligence to every task.
Influence senior stakeholders and contribute to formal reviews, showcasing your ability to lead.What We're Looking For
We need someone with excellent communication skills, a knack for influencing others, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. If you're a self-motivated individual with a drive to "do the right thing" and strong organizational skills, you'll fit right in.
