Job Description
Our client, a leading UK manufacturing group are currently seeking a detail orientated Procurement Specialist to join their exciting procurement function.
This is a hybrid role, with the flexibility to work from one of the company's many sites situated across West Molesey, Dudley, Swindon, Crawley, and Reading.
Role: Procurement Specialist
Salary: Up to £40,000 + benefits (DOE)
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days)
Locations: West Molesey, Dudley, Swindon, Crawley, and ReadingAs a Procurement Specialist, you'll focus on both direct and indirect procurement, drive cost-saving initiatives, and build strong supplier and stakeholder relationships across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver annual sourcing plans for the UK, in agreement with the UK Head of Procurement
Map Direct/Indirect spend data for the group and support wider group mapping processes
Forecast, track, and report cost-saving initiatives monthly
Negotiate terms and conditions for goods and services supplier contracts, ensuring timely agreements
Ensure all procurement activities align with the overall Procurement Corporate Strategy.You'll play a key role in delivering procurement strategies, managing supplier performance, and supporting multi-site projects.
Job Requirements:
Experience in a manufacturing environment (desirable)
Proficiency in category and spend analysis, and cost optimisation
Experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management
Proficiency in MS Office.
