Job Description

The Role: Oversee and manage comprehensive quality monitoring process for all products. Establish and maintain quality standards and specifications with Technical Director Quality Assurance Grapes, Topfruit, plum & cherries - other products as needed. Maintain shelf life and condition test documentation. Calibrate QA equipment in rotation with other QA Packhouse liaison as required Deputise for the Technical Director in their absence. Conduct regular quality inspections / sign and check labels, positive release with QA team as and when required. Inform Tech Director of the outcome of inload, outloads and stock checks, or Job category changes in the packhouse Ensure checks are completed to schedule and oversee stock quality. Provide feedback to Technical Director on supplier performance and areas for improvement Send quality reports to suppliers, informing them of arrival status and any status changes that require further actions. Look after visitors to the department when required Update suppliers concerning results of packing and status / job changes Inform Technical Director and commercial dept of the outcome of inloads and outloads Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions. Investigate rejections, fill the log / keep up to date & complete rejection response and follow up on corrective actions Expected to work weekends as per agreed Rota. Checking store temps File QA documentation in relevant folders, such as SharePoint. Maintain the label database, label formats, and setup of new line labels. Skills: Excellent attention to detail Experience in fresh produce industry, agronomy Knowledge of table grapes growing/packing would be an advantage. An interest in sustainability. Experience of HACCP. Technically capable, the chosen candidates will need to be IT literate and demonstrate competencies of operating/understanding spreadsheets. Rubicon or Prophet experience INDPERM
