A growing business is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Product Manager to lead the development of its new vehicle camera systems and safety product line. Along with a competitive salary, you will receive a range of benefits including a friendly, collaborative work environment and the autonomy to shape a product line from the ground up!
This is a customer-facing, hands-on role that blends engineering know-how with product leadership and supplier coordination. Trusted suppliers are already in place—your role will focus on guiding development, managing technical details, and driving successful delivery and growth of this new area.
What you’ll do as Product Manager:
You will be responsible for shaping the direction and ensuring its successful execution—from early technical specifications and supplier engagement to market introduction and customer adoption. As you are able to grow the new line of business, you will have the opportunity to build and manage a small team around this new line as it scales.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and growth of the vehicle camera and safety range.
Act as the primary point of contact between internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
Translate market needs and customer feedback into clear product specifications.
Manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery.
Present updates, roadmaps, and technical insights to customers and internal stakeholders.
Read and interpret technical drawings; CAD proficiency is a strong advantage.
Lay the groundwork for a future team, supporting team management and leadership as the product line grows.
What we’re looking for in a Product Manager:
Proven experience in product management or technical leadership, ideally in automotive Camera Systems & Safety Products, commercial vehicle, or safety-related technologies.
This role suits someone with a solid engineering background, commercial awareness, and experience working across both technical and customer-facing environments.
Skills & experiences:
Experience working with or managing external suppliers or manufacturing partners.
Confident in customer-facing settings, able to communicate technical concepts clearly.
Understanding of vehicle safety standards (e.g., UNECE R46) is highly desirable.
Knowledge of other vehicle safety technologies (e.g., proximity sensors, ADAS, radar/LiDAR systems) is a plus.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation.
Previous team management or mentoring experience is a plus, with a desire to lead a growing team.
