We're working with a fast-growing, tech-led business looking for a Product Owner to join a collaborative and high-performing team. This role sits at the heart of service and product development across multiple platforms, playing a key role in optimising workflows and systems used by underwriters and analysts. 🔍 The Product Owner Role As Product Owner, you'll be responsible for shaping and managing the backlogs of multiple agile development teams, ensuring deliverables are aligned with strategic goals and provide tangible business value. You'll work closely with data scientists, engineers, and underwriters, gathering and breaking down complex requirements into clear, actionable tasks. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Product Owner to gain deep domain exposure to commercial reinsurance and business process automation. 💼 Responsibilities of the Product Owner: Lead backlog management for up to six cross-functional teams, helping define objectives and milestones. Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather and document business needs. Prioritise work based on value, cost, feasibility, and available resources. Collaborate with other Product Owners, engineers, and domain experts to develop scalable software solutions. Conduct user acceptance testing and ensure product quality meets stakeholder expectations. Build trusted relationships across multiple departments and business units. Continuously develop your understanding of insurance processes, data flows, and business impact. 🧠 What We're Looking For in a Product Owner: At least 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar, ideally within the insurance or fintech sector. You must have good knowledge in AI, Machine Learning or NLP Background in computer science, data science, economics, or a related field would be preferred. Strong problem-solving, conceptual thinking, and analytical skills. Solid understanding of service-oriented architecture and Agile delivery.
