Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Product Quality Engineer to play a key role in ensuring the quality, compliance, and reliability of end-to-end satellite communication systems. This role covers product assurance across design, manufacturing, integration, testing, and launch phases, working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers. Based in London with a very attractive hybrid working arrangement, this will be a 12-month contract (extension likely). The rate is negotiable dependant on experience (inside IR35). What you’ll do: Lead programme-level product assurance activities across hardware, software, and systems. Develop and implement assurance plans in line with AS9100, ISO 9001, and ECSS standards. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and partners to ensure compliance and delivery. Oversee supplier quality, materials, processes, inspections, and audits. Drive risk management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electronics, aerospace, mechanical/materials, or similar). 5+ years’ experience in product assurance on space projects (ESA, UKSA or similar). Strong knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and ECSS standards. Experience working with and managing suppliers and vendors. UK or EU (27) Citizenship required.What will help you succeed: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to balance independent work with team collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
