Key responsibilities
Mix of desk-based estimating with shop-floor involvement — attractive to engineers who don’t want to be stuck in CAD all day
* Working with customers, suppliers and the inhouse team
* Working with customers on product design
* Prototyping
* Work Planning - estimating, scheduling
* Sales and account management
* Health & Safety
* Work scheduling
* Purchasing
* Inputting drawings into CAD (Solidworks)
The Candidate
* Sheet metal manufacturing background
* Production/Estimating experience
* CAD experience ideal (2D or 3D)
* Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
* Highly organised
* Desire to progress, possible potential to cover GM when he is not there
* Would consider someone who has started their career within sheet metal manufacturing and has the ability and desire to grow and take on more responsibility
