Job Description
Staffline is recruiting a number of Food Production and Hygiene Operatives to join a busy and fast-paced food manufacturing site based on the outskirts of Bristol (BS37).
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate with full training provided and a temp-to-perm pathways available after 12 weeks.
The rate of pay is £13.09 -£14.98 per hour, depending on the choice of department/shift.
Overtime is available and is paid at £19.53 - £22.47 per hour, depending on the choice of department/shift.
The hours of work available are:
(Monday to Friday - Fixed Shifts)
No part-time work Available & No Students
- Packing AM: 06:00am - 14:30pm
- Abattoir: 06:30am - 17:00pm
- Butchery: 06:45am - 16:30pm
- Hygiene Days: 09:00am - 17:30pm
- Packing PM: 14:30pm - 23:00pm
- Hygiene Backshift: 17:00pm - 01:30am
- Hygiene Nights: 20:00pm - 04:30am
Please note that this site is not accessible by public transport, so you would need to have/arrange your own transport.
Your Time at Work
As a Food Production and Hygiene Operative you will be responsible for:
Hygiene/Cleaning Operative Duties:
- Emptying waste bins and maintaining clean working areas
- Removing waste from floors using squeegees/shovels
- Handling chute waste and moving containers using pump trucks
- Cleaning chillers, floors, and walls to high hygiene standards
- External cleaning including litter picking and smoking areas
- Cleaning equipment such as hooks (gambrel cleaning)
Production Operative Duties:
- Working in a fast-paced, chilled food production environment
- Processing, preparing, and packing meat products
- Using machinery and tools (including knives/bladed equipment)
- Ensuring products meet strict food safety and quality standards
- Following all health & safety procedures

- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors

- Comfortable working in a chilled environment
- Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
