Job Description
Job Title: Production Assistant & Production Operative
Location: Epworth, DN9
Hourly Pay Rate: £12.21 to £13.50 p/h (hourly rate will be dependent on role and experience), overtime opportunities are available.
Hours: 07:00 - 16:00 Mon-Fri. There may be a requirement to work outside of these hours, including at weekends dependant on workload, so flexibility is required.
Contract: Temporary to Permanent (open to negotiation for the right candidate).
Gi Group Recruitment are now seeking to appoint a Production Assistant and a Production Operative to our modern manufacturing client, based in Epworth, Doncaster. We're looking to speak with motivated & reliable candidates who want to learn new skills and develop with a business who are in a period of growth. Due to the location and start time, you will need to have a reliable method of transport, as public transport options are limited.
Duties of the Production Assistant
* Using hand tools to prep doors ready to be spray painted.
* Using a keen eye for detail to ensure the highest levels of quality throughout the product life-cycle.
* Performing final quality checks on doors.
* Completing basic quality check paperwork.
* Reporting any issues with equipment, quality or scheduling to the Spray Shop Supervisor.
* Adhering to and championing health and safety best practice.
Duties of the Production Operative
* Fitting glass into doors.
* Fixing metal components onto doors using various hand tools.
* Adhering to and championing health and safety best practice.
* Reporting any issues with equipment, quality or scheduling to the Spray Shop Supervisor.
* Would suit someone from a manufacturing background with previous experience working with glass, plastic, or wood.
Criteria for the Production Assistant and Production Operative
* Must have previous experience using hand tools.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to monitor quality of own work and others.
* An organised individual who takes pride in their work.
* Must be physically fit and comfortable going up and down ladders.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety processes.
