Job Description
CREM Recruitment are recruiting a number of Warehouse Operatives based in Newmarket to join them on a temporary to permanent basis. Our client is a well-established name within the logistics industry and offers excellent training and career progression.
Pay Rate:
* Training Week (Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:00): £12.60 per hour
* Ongoing Shift 6am - 6pm (7 on / 7 off): £12.60 per hour + £0.60 premium (paid upon full week completion)
Key Responsibilities:
* Clear and manage the loading bay efficiently
* Sort, stack, and transfer goods to the correct storage or dispatch zones
* Inspect products for any damage and promptly report discrepancies
* Maintain a tidy and well-organised work area
* Follow all health and safety procedures to prevent injury and ensure food safety standards are met
* Work closely with team members to meet daily targets and deadlines
Skills & Experience Required:
* Physically fit – able to regularly lift items of 25kg or more
* Experience with trailer loading essential
* Counterbalance Forklift licence – valid or recently expired
* Previous machine operative experience is essential
* Strong initiative and ability to think ahead
* Competent using Microsoft Office programmes
* Previous experience in warehousing or manual handling roles preferred
* Comfortable working in chilled environments (between 3°C and 10°C)
* Good command of spoken and written English
* High attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely
