Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full Time
Hours: Mon-Thurs 8am-5pm, Fri 8am-12pm
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in the procurement process, ensuring that products and components for cable assembly production are sourced efficiently and effectively.

Purchase Order Management:
- Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs) while ensuring adherence to company protocols.
- Oversee the entire PO lifecycle from identifying needs to confirming deliveries.
Inventory & Stock Control:
- Regularly monitor inventory levels and take proactive measures to align with company needs.
- Conduct periodic safety stock reviews to maintain accurate stock data.
Supplier & Quality Management:
- Address delivery accuracy issues, quality rejections, and invoice discrepancies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure top-notch service.
Data & Reporting:
- Create and maintain item and Bill of Materials (BOM) records.
- Prepare and distribute stock reports to various departments.
Procurement Operations:
- Process Purchase Orders for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) as necessary.
- Keep accurate purchasing records and departmental administration up to date.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align purchases with operational needs.
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency improvements.
Candidate Profile:
Qualifications:
- CIPS qualification preferred.
- Minimum of five GCSEs (grade C or above) or equivalent.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar purchasing role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
IT Skills:
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
