A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an MRP Controller to join a department to assist with the delivery of development contracts across multiple programmes.
This role performs the duties of material and production planning and reports to the Planning and Control team lead.
Key Responsibilities:
* Co-ordinate and execute all activities related to the planning and procurement of materials
* Ensure the timely and adequate supply of materials to support the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
* Prepare and maintain the MPS in response to customer demand, considering materials, capacity and inventory targets
* Release, manage and schedule all work in the MRP system, maintaining accurate delivery forecasts
* Maintain material inventory levels in line with targets, minimising excess waste and costs
* Conduct regular stock checks to ensure MRP accuracy
* Work closely with Supply Planners, Goods Receiving, Stores and Despatch to resolve queries and support inventory accuracy
* Escalate risks relating to supply constraints and achievement of the MPS through the sales and ops process
* Support non-conformance management controls and maintain master data accuracy
* Contribute to achieving schedule adherence, inventory and delivery KPIs
The ideal candidate would have:
* APICs supply chain certification (beneficial but not essential)
* Experience using SAP (beneficial)
* Good planning and organising skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
The ideal candidate must have:
* HNC Level qualification or equivalent
* Relevant experience in Manufacturing Planning, Supply Chain Management or a related role
* Experience in the use of ERP/MRP systems
