Job Title: Production Electronic Engineer
Location: Oxford
Salary: £42,000 per annum
This role involves testing, repairing and debugging advanced electronic products used across entertainment, engineering and scientific industries. Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Electronic Engineer ensures high-quality output through PCB-level diagnostics, test development and technical support across the production and RMA processes.

Supervise the Test team and provide technical and observational support.
Ensure product quality through final testing, report analysis, visual checks and correct lens set-up.
Diagnose and repair faults in assemblies, sub-assemblies and PCBs to component level.
Maintain and verify camera test facilities, performing routine checks and raising issues when needed.
Write and update test specifications and instructions within the MDR and QMS systems.
Generate investigation and test reports for management and development teams.
Manage the repair and RMA process, including prioritisation and timely turnaround.
Provide technical support to Production, Quality, Supply Chain and Stock teams; attend supplier visits when required.
Contribute to new product development, ensuring DFM/DFT considerations and smooth transition from prototype to production.
Support prototype testing, risk identification and continuous improvement of tools, jigs and test methods.
Assist with other production activities (assembly, final test, kit verification, stock counts) as needed.
Maintain an organised, safe and tidy working area.
Participate in training to support flexible working.Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering or equivalent experience (5+ years preferred).
Strong PCB debug experience with SMT and through-hole rework skills.
Ability to read schematics; experience with CAD/Altium is an advantage.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
Organised, tidy and able to work effectively within a team.
