Job Description
Mazco Recruitment are working with a precision engineering company looking to appoint a skilled Production Engineer to support their machining operations.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong CAD/CAM programming experience to play a key role in improving manufacturing efficiency, supporting production, and driving continuous improvement within a modern engineering environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing and optimising machining processes, creating CNC programs, and providing technical support to production teams. The role will focus on improving cycle times, tooling strategies, and overall manufacturing performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Create and optimise CNC programs using Mastercam or similar CAD/CAM systems
* Support production with technical expertise across machining processes
* Work closely with machinists to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times
* Develop tooling strategies and machining methods
* Support new product introduction and process development
* Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions
* Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Production Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer
* Strong CAD/CAM programming experience (Mastercam or similar)
* Good knowledge of CNC machining (milling and/or turning)
* Experience with 5-axis machining advantageous
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills
* Experience working in a precision engineering environment
