Job Description

Production Engineer

  * Up to £45,000 per annum

  * Established, respected manufacturing company.

  * Excellent benefits

  * Day shifts – Mon-Fri (37.5 hrs per week)

We are working with a respected client in Rochdale who are recruiting for a Production Engineer due to expansion to support function to all areas of production.

The Job

  * CAD knowledge (Solidworks)

  * Experience of 4 and 5-axis machining techniques

  * Experience of CNC Lathes

  * Execution of manufacturing engineering tasks to deadlines

  * Creation of process specifications

  * Support the department with Routings, BOMs, Production Orders, Costings

  * Knowledge of ERP systems preferably SAP

  * Provide support and expertise to optimise and improve process capability and yield

  * Ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders e.g., Purchasing, Engineering, Group etc

About you

  * Experience of working in a technical/engineering environment – medium to heavy engineering

  * Experience, Knowledge of Hard Surface welding methods.

  * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

  * SolidWorks 3D Modelling

  * Project management skills

  * Creating BOMs and routings

  * Preparation of costings for intercompany production

  * Lean principles, Waste reduction, efficiency improvements, process flow, etc

  * Formal technical qualification – craft/technician level machining-biased apprenticeship up to HNC/HND level in Mechanical/Production Engineering
