Job Description

You'll be the Production Engineer who owns how automation and process improvement take shape on the shop floor. Every process you review is a genuine opportunity to apply proper rigour, not just tick a box. As a Production Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Identify, design and implement automation solutions across the production line
Lead automation and process improvement projects from concept through to implementation
Review existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for standardisation and waste reduction
Support new product introduction, ensuring processes are optimised ahead of full scale production
Investigate and resolve production issues, applying root cause analysis techniques
Work with production, quality and engineering teams to embed a continuous improvement culture
As a Production Engineer, your experience will include:

Proven, hands-on experience of automation within a manufacturing environment
A relevant engineering degree, with a solid grounding in process improvement
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen methodologies
Experience within electronics manufacturing is desirable but not essential
Confidence working across the shop floor and influencing how processes are run
A proactive, independent approach to problem solving
