Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on and driven Production Engineer to join a collaborative team, bridging the gap between engineering design and production operations. Reporting directly to the Engineering Director and working closely with the Operations Director, you will take ownership of developing and integrating new systems and processes into the manufacturing environment.
As a Production Engineer, you’ll be responsible for leading product and system transitions into production, developing tooling and fixtures, and continuously improving product quality and operational efficiency. You'll also support problem-solving activities on the shop floor, train staff on new processes, and contribute to both product and process development through CAD design, prototyping, and testing.
This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a tangible impact across multiple areas of the business including engineering, operations, and quality.
Skills & Experience:
* Degree in Engineering or equivalent “time-served” experience.
* CAD skills (Solid Edge or similar).
* Solid understanding of electronics, PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
* Experience with FMEA, DFM, and production support tools.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Experience with BOM creation and product testing desirable.
