Location: Poole
Salary: £33,000 – £37,000 per annum
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
A leading precision engineering business in Poole is currently seeking an experienced and proactive Production Engineer to join its busy production team. This is a key role supporting both internal operations and customer communications, ensuring timely delivery and smooth order progression.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and expedite assigned customer orders from initial receipt through to final delivery
Communicate regularly with customers regarding order status and delivery updates
Accurately enter all customer sales onto the sales management sheet
Maintain detailed and up-to-date records in preparation for weekly sales reviews
Ensure all production requirements are accurately recorded on the production run list and capacity planning schedules
Attend production meetings and reviews as needed
Monitor and manage on-time delivery performance for assigned accounts
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Previous experience in a production engineering role, ideally within a precision or CNC machining environment
Strong communication skills and experience in a customer-facing role
Comfortable working closely with engineers and production teams on the shop floor
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
