Engineering Manager
Location: Batley, Yorkshire
Salary: £38,500 + Can Offer More Depending On Experience
Hours: Mon-Thu 8am-5pm / Fri 8am-12pm
Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
About the Role
We're looking for a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead and develop our clients production team in a busy manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing leadership with being actively involved in day-to-day operations.
You'll be responsible for production planning, compliance, and team performance, while driving process improvements to ensure quality and efficiency across the department.
What You'll Be Doing
Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of engineers
Overseeing production planning and forecasting
Delivering training and performance management
Ensuring quality assurance and compliance are maintained
Driving process optimisation and continuous improvement
Managing resources effectively to meet production targets
What We're Looking For
Trained in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations Management (or related field)
5+ years' experience in a production/manufacturing environment
Strong leadership and people management skills
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on results
