Nelson Permanent Placements are working with our client recruiting for a Production Group Leader for a well-established company in Coleshill who provide cable solutions and are widely used in education, commercial, housing, industrial and healthcare sectors across the UK. To be considered for this role as a Production Group Leader you will be: * Oversee daily operations and capacity planning for the company's manufacturing processes meeting the expectations of the custome ensuring that the production and manufacturing jobs are completed ahead of time meeting cost and quality requirements. Key Responsibilities of this role as a Production Group Leader you will be: * Manage daily production, making sure work is safe, efficient, and meets quality standards. * Work with all departments to keep operations running smoothly. * Plan and organise workloads to meet production targets, delivery deadlines and manage delays tracking performance using tools like OEE, and take action when targets aren't met. * Control inventory and agree stock levels with customers and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery. * Look for ways to improve processes, boost productivity, and cut waste. * Meet customer quality standards by following company quality procedures and keeping required certifications. * Make sure all checks, systems, and processes are followed properly, including keeping records up to date. * Follow and support the development of company systems; report any issues weekly to help keep things running well. * Handle team management according to company rules and employment laws, making sure training is delivered effectively and meets business needs. * Keep company equipment, buildings, and property safe at all times. * Help develop and support health, safety, and environmental plans to ensure a safe workplace. * Lead and making sure any safety issues are addressed and legal and company standards are followed, including the Let’s Make It Home safety campaign. * Manage spending in your area using PDCA methods and support the budgeting process and report monthly on cost-saving improvements. * Set and track KPIs based on the company’s budget. * Understand how equipment and processes operate to improve efficiency Requirements of a Production Group Leader you will be: * Be able to comply with and promote company values * SQDC Experience and knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma is a plus. * An excellent communicator who has had experience in a production leadership role * Motivation to beat targets safely and required quality standards Benefits of a Production Group Leader you will be: * Annual salary of £30,000 - £35,000 * Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 2:00pm, and Friday, 6:00am to 1:00pm. * 25 days holiday and festive shutdown at Christmas * Training and development opportunities * Companywide bonus scheme and service and recognition awards * Company Pension and enhanced family friendly policies * Discounted Gym Membership and cycle to work scheme * Free annual flu vaccination vouchers and employee assistance programme * Cash health plan and Life Assurance 4 x salary * Free home cyber security training and free onsite parking How to Apply: This vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Nelson Permanent Placements Ltd.
