Salary: £32,000 - £38,000
Overview:
First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Production Manager on behalf of our client based in Bristol.
This is a full-time, permanent role offering the opportunity to join a leading manufacturer of high-technology road surveying vehicles and equipment. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel, although all candidates will be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate daily production operations.
Ensure products are manufactured efficiently and to high quality standards.
Plan, schedule, and monitor workflow to meet targets.
Oversee servicing, repairs, and field support where required.
Monitor production metrics and provide reports for management review.
Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years’ managerial experience.
Relevant engineering qualification.
Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles (advantageous).
Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
Additional Information:
37.5 hours per week.
25 days holiday plus public holidays.
