Job Description
Production Manager South Midlands
A leading engineering company is seeking a Production Manager to join their team. The role will be involved in planning, coordination of production activities to deliver heavy engineering projects safely, to specification and within agreed budgets.
As Production manager you will;
* Plan and organise corrective repairs of vehicles, prioritising work in order of safety, reliability and customer requirements
* Working with Project Managers to lead in the development of production schedules, resource plans and work allocation for planned maintenance activities
* You will provide technical support to technicians and team leaders
* Product implementation plans for complex tasks where there is impact to daily operations
* You will drive efficiencies by reviewing and improving all processes and interactions with key stakeholders
* Supervise, motivate and lead the production team

* Strong Production management experience within a Heavy Engineering environment
* Strong leadership skills within a workshop environment
* Knowledge of ISO and relevant standards
* Experience of budget control, resource planning and performance management
* Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement experience/training
