Production manager
Salary £45,000 Bristol BS4, on a permanent 25 days + bank holidays, pension, parking, company discount scheme, working 38.75 hours Monday to Friday, flexible start finish times
This is a great opportunity to work for a stable and growing organisation who are part of a larger group of companies, to join their team as a production manager offering the opportunity for further development and progression. Reporting to the Operations director, this role will be responsible for the day to day running of the production team within a modern manufacturing environment. An exciting opportunity to be instrumental in expanding the team with the planned growth of the business.

Duties of the production manager will include:
Responsible for supervising and developing a multidisciplinary production team of around 12 team members on 2 shifts (6-2, 2- 10)
Lead, motivate and manage daily production activities across all milling and 3D printing operations
Planning work schedules and resources, ensuring maximum efficiency working to tight lead times
Identifying bottlenecks, problem solving and driving continuous improvement activities
Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards including ISO 13485
Customer focussed to provide excellent levels of customer service
Oversee machine maintenance, tool management and calibration schedules
Collaborate with the design, logistics and customer service teams to maintain seamless order processing and on-time delivery
Communicating with internal departments at all levels to ensure production and quality levels are maintained
Maintain accurate production data, reports, and KPIs for management review.
Support new product introductions and technical trials in coordination with R & D and suppliers.
Skills and experience required for the production manager:
This role would suit a candidate trained in modern production techniques within a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of volume manufacturing or CNC machinery is desirable, CAD/CAM workflows for milling/3D printing equipment would be ideal
but any related and transferable skills are also suitable
Any experience in the medical or dental industry sector would be of interest but not essential for the role
Strong people management skills with a track record of building high-performing teams
The production manager, should be capable of excellent communication and leadership skills
Some flexibility from time to time may be required to liaise with shift team members
Any engineering, manufacturing or related qualifications are useful but not essential as long as you hold a previous and demonstratable record in production management
You should be computer literate to maintain and provide accurate production data, reports and KPI's for management review
