Job Description
We are looking to recruit a high-performing and resilient Production Manager to join the site leadership team at their battery sorting facility. You will be responsible for driving a culture of discipline, structure, and operational excellence—transforming the site into a centre of excellence for battery recycling operations in the UK.
Main Duties
* Lead and manage daily production operations across sorting lines.
* Deliver throughput targets of 10–15 tonnes/day consistently inline with P&L.
* Responsible for early and back shift supervisors reporting to you
* Enforce safety procedures and fire risk controls across site.
* Implement and monitor visual management systems (daily boards, 5S, line targets).
* Build and coach high-performing shift teams, lead recruitment and training.
* Execute a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) backlog reduction plan.
* Drive adherence to AATF compliance requirements and treatment documentation.
* Ensure handover between shifts and daily reporting is clear, consistent, and data-driven.
* Coordinate with Maintenance, Compliance, and Waste Data Controller to keep all systems aligned.
* Own site readiness for audits and inspections.
