Production Manager
Trafford Park, Manchester
£50,000 per annum
Full-time | Monday to Friday | 44 hours per weekI am working with a highly reputable manufacturing business in Manchester to find a new Site Production Manager to take over the responsibility of their factory operations and lead a high-performing team.
As Site Production Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of a busy production facility. You will ensure that operations are efficient, targets are met, and quality and safety standards are consistently upheld. The Production Manager role requires strong leadership, hands-on problem solving, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement across all areas of production.
Key Responsibilities for a Production Manager:
Manage the daily production workflow to meet schedule and output targets
Uphold health & safety and quality standards across all site operations
Oversee materials control to ensure stock availability and smooth production
Implement and sustain 5S workplace organisation and lean manufacturing principles
Lead and develop a team through coaching, performance reviews and training
Identify risks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement
Communicate clearly with internal stakeholders and provide regular updates on KPIs
Maintain accurate production and attendance records
Contribute to planning meetings and operational strategy discussionsWhat We're Looking for in a Production Manager:
Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar leadership role
Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
Exceptional people management and communication skills
Hands-on, resilient, and proactive approach to solving operational challenges
Ability to lead by example, inspire teams, and manage performance
