Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that production processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The Production Manager will enjoy a varied role providing leadership over two sites where you will drive productivity improvement utilising Lean and continuous improvement principles whilst also ensuring health & safety for production.
The Production Manager will be required to:
* Provide leadership to a team of supervisors/team leaders
* Mentor supervisors & team leaders to ensure effective team leadership
* Nurture a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
* Coordinate, motivate, manage direct reports and shop floor employees
* Plan labour and resources to achieve scheduled production
* Managing budgets for materials, labour and repairs
* Responsible for maintenance of buildings, plants and services
* Oversee onboarding processes
* Organisation and allocation of work in operations
* Implement strategies to optimise cost management and resource allocation
Requirements :
* Minimum of 5 years supervisory and manufacturing experience
* Experience of utilising Lean and Continuous improvement principles
* Analytical with problem solving skills
* A good understanding of ERP/MRP systems to ensure Bills of Materials are accurate
* Management of department budgets for materials, labour, repairs and maintenance
* A good understanding of Quality management within ISO9001 QMS
* Experienced with Health & Safety work requirements in a manufacturing environment
* Multi-site Management
* Working to ISO9001 and ISO14001
* Experience working within batch and cellular manufacturing environments
