Job Description
We are working with one of our key clients in the Blackburn area, they are on the market to bring in a new production manager to their facility.
Production Manager – The Role:
* Responsible for manager a large production function (Headcount) – responsible for the staff rota, overtime and contractor control ensuring you optimise operations, minimise downtime and improve efficiencies.
* Ensure appropriate training for the Production department to ensure performance is up to standard.
* Ensuring strict adherence to Production Procedures, ensuring health and safety is at the forefront of operations and complying with all quality policies.
* Timely reporting of any production issues, ensuring machine faults to the Production Director.
* Holding daily meetings with Production and Engineering to ensure clear communication on any ongoing or potential issues to achieve operational goals.
* Consulting regularly with the QA Manager to ensure quality standards are maintained.
* Regular involvement in quality investigations and adding input to prevent any regular recurrence.
* Prepare key reports on Production efficiencies, costs, and total performance metrics.
* Involvement in all audits for Quality, H&S and environmental compliance.
* Regular monitoring of raw materials, equipment, and labour costs to optimise volume and quality of production output.
Production Manager – Ideal Background:
* Proven experience in managing large production functions with a large headcount.
* Experience in implementing lean manufacturing projects or other equivalent methodologies.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong analytical and decision-making ability.
* Experience in troubleshooting and optimizing processes.
* First Aid Training – (Training provided)
* Fire Marshall – (Training provided)
* Health and safety training experience.
* Audit experience
