Poolhall Recruitment is an established employment business providing skilled Textile and Furniture Personnel across the UK. Our client, a leading manufacturer of bespoke furniture and upholstery, is expanding due to continued success and is now seeking a Production Manager to join their site in the city of London.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for an experienced professional who thrives in a hands-on role and has a strong background in the furniture industry.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage production operations across Joinery, Upholstery, and Finishing departments
*
Lead and develop a team of skilled craftspeople
*
Work hands-on when required, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship
*
Create templates and interpret upholstery patterns and technical drawings
*
Ensure all ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 documentation and employment-related paperwork is completed accurately and on time
*
Monitor quality, efficiency, and safety across all areas of production
*
Liaise with senior management to meet production targets and delivery timelines
Essential Requirements:
*
Experience within the furniture industry is essential
*
Time-served Upholsterer with practical, hands-on knowledge
*
Ability to read and interpret technical upholstery plans and blueprints
*
Familiarity with different types of fabrics, foams, and materials
*
Proficient with cutting tools such as scissors and shears
*
Proven leadership skills in a production environment
*
Strong organizational and communication abilities
Salary & Benefits:
*
Starting Salary: £50,000 to £65,000 per annum
*
Holidays: 21 days, increasing to 25 with service + Bank Holidays
*
