Our client is a leading force in the manufacturing industry, with decades of experience delivering bespoke solutions and installations across a variety of sectors. Known for exceptional craftsmanship and top-tier customer service, the company continues to grow and is now looking to expand their talented team with an experienced Production Manager.
As the Production Manager you'll play a key role in their busy workshop, contributing to a variety of exciting projects. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background with at least 5 years of experience working within a production or manufacturing environment being able to show a high level in attention to detail and organisational skills.
What's involved for the Production Manager …
Manage a team of welders, fabricators, and general operatives
Ensure quality standards and health & safety compliance are maintained
Plan workloads and coordinate production schedules
Monitor performance and support staff development
Liaise with design, projects, and procurement teams
Support continuous improvement initiatives across production
Manage stock, material usage and workshop resources efficiently
Report on production KPIs and job costings to senior management
What you'll need…
Proven background in manufacturing or production environments
Experience leading teams in a workshop or manufacturing setting
Strong understanding of steel fabrication techniques and welding processes is advantageous
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Working knowledge of health & safety procedures and quality standards
Ability to problem-solve and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
