Production Manager (Twilight/Night Shift) – PVC/Plastics Manufacturing
Lead a New Shift – Shape the Future of Production
We’re looking for an ambitious Production Manager to launch and lead a brand-new twilight/night shift operation (4pm - 02:30am, Monday to Thursday) at our client's Stoke-on-Trent facility. This is a rare opportunity to build a team from the ground up, embed best practice, and drive performance in a fast-paced PVC/plastics manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Recruit, coach, and inspire a newly formed production team.
* Manage schedules to hit output, efficiency, and delivery targets.
* Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
* Track KPIs such as OEE, waste, and downtime, and deliver improvements.
* Work closely with day-shift management and engineering teams to ensure smooth handovers.
* Implement lean manufacturing practices and develop your team’s skills for long-term success.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in PVC or plastics manufacturing (essential).
* A strong background in production or operations management.
* Leadership ability with experience in setting up or running shift operations.
* Solid knowledge of health & safety, compliance, and process improvement.
* Excellent communication and people skills to motivate and engage a team.
