Job Description
Purpose:
Full operational responsibility of the department’s day to day operations in conjunction with customer requirements.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement quality management systems and processes to ensure that the service we offer is always to the highest quality.
· Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure that our supply chain is efficient and effective.
· Work closely with other departments to ensure that technical requirements are integrated into our production processes.
· Implementation of 5S standards ensuring we maintain full accreditation within your permitted area of responsibility.
· Support and drive audit compliance.
· Continuous training programme, to ensure all personnel are up to date with any changes that may affect the running of the production area.
· Production planning to meet customer requirements and reduce the risk of stock shortages.
· Raising Works/Purchase orders
· Dealing with Customers and Suppliers
· Working close with the production team to display best practice methods.
· Time management, ensuring all staff are using their time effectively and productively.
· To provide leadership, direction, and management of the production area.
· Efficient labour scheduling to minimize staff shortages and maximize productivity.
· Compliance of company policies and legislative requirements to include Health and Safety and Safe Systems of working.
· Attend management meetings as required and be proactive in all aspects of relevant activity.
· Comply with policies and procedures.
· To ensure excellent communication links between the production and management team.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
· Experience in a Managerial role
· Strong knowledge of safety and quality standards
· Let Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Project management.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
