Kinetic Recruitment are currently looking for a Production Manager, to work for a thriving technology business, based in Deeside, within the CH5 area.
Start: Monday to Thursday - 08:00 to 16:30 | Friday - 08:00 to 12:00.
Hours of Work: 36.
Salary: £35,000 per annum.
Main purpose of the role:
You will be responsible for shop floor operations and facilities, supporting the Operations Director with the day-to-day management of production activities, planning and logistics team, overseeing and providing guidance to production teams and individuals ensuring efficiency in achieving business targets.
Job Role & Duties:
*Managing and motivating a team of individuals to meet the Company's production requirements
*Taking responsibility to ensure resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner while achieving high standards of quality and safety
*Ensuring defined manufacturing procedures are followed and updated when required
*Ensuring efficient and accurate control of Company inventory by optimising stock levels to maintain production throughput whilst minimising the value of inventory in addition to ensuring that materials received are cost effective, correct and to specification
*Continuous improvement of implementing and developing processes and procedures for the department
*Ensuring tracking of production build status at each stage for efficient workflow to meet customer demand
*Ensuring team members take responsibility for the quality of their own work in line with company standards
*Ensuring all safe working instructions are implemented and adhered to
*Use of PC and ERP system to record accurate data to drive improvements
*Ensuring production records are completed accurately and in a timely manner
*Contributing towards the design and improvement of Company Products
*Providing the link between Engineering, Production, Stores, Purchasing and SHEQ staff for all production requirements
*Developing an agile and effective workforce through coaching, monitoring, mentoring and leading by example to ensure everyone is motivated to reach their full potential and where no process or task relies on specific individuals
*Providing training and documentation where required
*Liaising with and updating the HR Director where required
Job description:
*Ensuring compliance, at all times, with all company Security, Environmental and Health & Safety policies and procedures, highlighting any real or potential Health and Safety issues to management in a timely manner and assisting in actioning any decisions made by management
*All other essential duties as and when required to maintain the efficiency of the department/Company and as directed by the Operations Director
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
*Responsible for the Company meeting its Manufacturing and Production requirements
*Providing the necessary expertise to ensure the successful operation of products in achieving the company's targets
*Tracking and updating of production build status at each stage for efficient workflow to meet customer demand
*Weekly communications to the team
*Daily production resource meetings
*Supervising the overall production function including planning, shopfloor, test and logistics
*Managing the health, safety, and welfare across all departments within the organisation
*Managing the team and updating administrative requirements
*Responsible for the maintenance of the Company's machinery and facilities
