Production Manager: Our client, a north of Manchester based manufacturer, seek to appoint a Production Manager for their fast paced time sensitive production site. Managing a large shift based team of operators and supervisors the successful Production Manager will retain close ties with the shop floor, leading a team to meet daily KPI's, and have experience of a time sensitive, lean focused, labour intensive manufacturing environment.
Although the majority of staff are permanent at peak times your team may be strengthened with the addition of contract / agency staff. It would be beneficial for the Production Manager to have had had previous experience of managing temporary staff with the issues this can bring up.
Previous work experience in a lean manufacturing environment would be advantageous, as would knowledge of continuous improvement. The Production Manager ultimately chosen for this role can come from a wide range of backgrounds.
