This is a hands-on leadership role focused on developing systems, building a high-performing team, and ensuring our production aligns with our mission of delivering projects on time, on budget, and snag free. Key Responsibilities; Operational Leadership • Oversee daily factory operations including CNC processing, assembly, packaging, and dispatch • Optimise material usage, storage, and handling to reduce waste and improve efficiency • Manage goods-in and goods-out processes to ensure accurate inventory and timely deliveries Coordinate and manage outsourced production activities, ensuring alignment with internal standards and schedules Process Development • Lead the development of key operational systems including capacity planning, labour management, assembly workflow optimisation, and quality control procedures • Implement strategic packaging solutions to enhance on-site installation efficiency People Management • Supervise and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of appreciation, dedication, and positivity • Manage staffing levels, shift planning, and training to meet production goals • Support HR functions including recruitment, performance reviews, and team development Quality and Safety • Develop and maintain quality control standards across all production stages • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment • Oversee machinery maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs as needed Budget Management • Develop and manage the production department’s budget, ensuring alignment with overall company financial goals • Monitor and control operational costs including labour, materials, and outsourced services • Identify cost-saving opportunities through process improvements and supplier negotiations • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to forecast expenditures and track budget performance • Ensure all production activities contribute to delivering projects on time and within budget Strategic Contribution • Assist in development of products and services to meet company goals. • Provide input into long-term production strategy and capital investment planning Requirements; Essential • Proven experience in a production management role, ideally with joinery and assembly related activity. • Strong understanding of assembly processes, and lean manufacturing principles • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and implement process improvements • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills • Hands-on approach with a willingness to work on the shop floor Desirable • Experience with washroom systems or similar modular products • IOSH or NEBOSH certification or equivalent health and safety training What We Offer • Opportunity to shape and grow a production department from the ground up • Supportive leadership and a collaborative working environment • Career development opportunities as the company expands • Competitive salary and benefits package including free lunches. • A values-driven culture where appreciation, dedication, speed, positivity, and trust are central to how we work
