* 8AM-5PM
* £13.50-14PH
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of welding techniques and be proficient in using various welding equipment. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal components, ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process.
Responsibilities
- Operate MIG welding equipment to fabricate and assemble metal structures and components.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the appropriate welding methods.
- Perform welding tasks on sheet metal and other materials, ensuring precision and quality in every weld.
- Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing metal parts.
- Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining safety standards.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.
Skills
- Proficient in MIG welding techniques with a solid understanding of welding as an additional skill.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
- Familiarity with fabricating processes, including the ability to assemble various components accurately.
- Competent in using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
- Experience working with sheet metal is advantageous but not essential.
