Job Description
Our client, a prominent company in the manufacturing sector, is currently looking for a Production Operative/FLT Driver to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working with continuous polymer compounding extruders to produce high-quality thermoplastic materials. The successful individual will be part of a team dedicated to maintaining high standards of production, quality, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting up machines according to relevant specifications and monitoring product quality
Requesting, measuring, and loading all raw materials as required
Maximising machine outputs and ensuring production requirements are met
Conducting Quality Control tests such as Ash, MFI, and volatiles, and promptly informing supervision of any quality deviations
Ensuring effective communication with the Shift Supervisor regarding production status and any arising issues
Adhering to equipment procedures and disciplinary practices
Maintaining good housekeeping practices at all times
Following procedures designed in accordance with ISO 9001 to ensure product quality
Maintaining high standards of attendance
Complying with Health and Safety legislation and company policies to ensure safe working conditions
Job Requirements:
Good level of general education
Current fork truck counterbalance license
Literate, numerate, and accurate with basic figures
Good health record
Reliable and able to work as a member of a team
Ability to work on own initiative
Work Schedule:
The position involves working a 40-hour week on a 3-shift rotating system Monday to Friday (Apply online only); (Apply online only); (Apply online only)hrs) following the pattern: Days - Nights - Afternoons.
