Production Operative
£32,200 to £35,000 plus benefits
Our client has a great new opportunity for a Production Operative to develop skills and become a technical machine operator.
Main Duties for the Production Operative:
* Machine Setup, preparing the machine for the next production run by setting up the equipment, ensuring it is ready for the next job.
* Material Handling, by safely loading and securing the appropriate printed materials, onto the machine, ensuring it is ready for operation.
* Tool Installation, installing and adjusting the necessary cutting tools and components according to job specifications, ensuring precision and accuracy.
* Quality Control, thorough quality checks to verify that all components are correctly aligned and that the machine is ready for a flawless production run.
* Routine cleaning and maintenance tasks for the machinery to ensure proper functioning and minimise downtime.
* Identify and address any technical issues or malfunctions during the production process, escalating complex problems to Management.
Skills required for the Production Operative:
* Previous experience in a manufacturing operation or a related field is advantageous.
* Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to machinery setup processes.
* Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct any issues that may affect production quality.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Basic knowledge of Health & Safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
* Used to working a shift pattern.
Hours of work for the Production Operative:
Lates Earlies Nights rotation 10-6 Sunday to Thursday / 6-2 / 2-10 Monday to Friday

Up to 30-minute paid break during shift
Overtime paid at 1.25 once contractual hours worked – premium increases to 1.5 overtime rate, once 48 hours per week is exceeded
